Founded by pharmaceutical scientist Amina Aden, MelaVie set out with a clear purpose: to create accessible, science-backed skincare designed specifically for melanin-rich skin. Amina’s own experiences and a deep understanding of her community drove the brand’s mission to cater to an underrepresented demographic in mainstream beauty.

A recent Mintel report revealed that 63% of women of colour feel overlooked by the beauty industry. MelaVie is changing that, and we were excited to bring Amina’s vision to life.

When MelaVie approached us, we knew the key was to turn their vision into a compelling visual and linguistic identity that would resonate with their audience. We studied the market, immersing ourselves in the needs of the melanin-blessed community.
