MelaVie came alive from a personal story: Founder, Amina Aden, a pharmaceutical scientist, experienced the frustration of trying to find skincare that understood melanin-rich skin. She created MelaVie to fill a gap — products backed by science, designed specifically for skin that’s been underserved.

We partnered with her to give this vision form and to design a brand that resonated with people, not just products.

The Challenge

In the crowded skincare market, MelaVie needed to stand out for both its purpose and its performance. The challenge was two-fold:

Communicate scientific credibility and actives that truly work for melanin-rich skin.

Build a brand voice and visual identity that felt inclusive, accessible and representative, not just another luxury beauty label.

Launch & Content Strategy: We built a toolkit that educates (the science of skin), connects (real community stories) and converts (product performance), making the brand both credible and emotionally grounded.
